Saratu is a social woman, always smiling at people. She takes good care of her child with the little resources she has. Saratu, a 21 year old pregnant woman who's at term presented with a history of pelvic injury secondary to trauma which after thorough examinations and investigations she's found to be not capable of safe vaginal delivery at the moment. A multigravida at term with inadequate Pelvis secondary to pelvic injury

Saratu was admitted in our facility where she was managed as a case of multigravida at term with inadequate pelvis secondary to injury. She had Cesarean Section done successfully to deliver a healthy baby. Both mother and baby had uneventful post delivery period. She was later discharged home with oral medications to complete her recovery and scheduled for follow-up.

An inadequate pelvis is an indication for delivery via Cesarean Section. When a woman is allowed to go into vaginal delivery with an inadequate pelvis, she may end up with prolonged labour which it's complications are detrimental to both mother and the child. In some cases it may lead to fetal death.
