Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

Background
Lilian Chebet is a 17-year-old girl who lives with her single mother. She is the eldest of five children and lives alongside her siblings and grandmother. Lilian enjoys playing football and aspires to become a professional footballer in the future. She was brought to the hospital by her mother, appearing ill and in significant pain. She complained of vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, and epigastric discomfort. Following medical investigations, she was diagnosed with severe malaria and acute gastritis. Lilian was admitted for treatment and managed with antibiotics and supportive care.
Medical history
The patient was diagnosed with Severe Malaria and Acute Gastritis. She was admitted on 3rd July 2025 and treated with antibiotics. Throughout her stay, vital signs and progress were closely monitored and documented. On 5th July 2025 at 12:10 PM, she was reviewed and found to be stable with no complaints. She was subsequently discharged at 1:00 PM the same day and provided with discharge medications. A follow-up phone call later confirmed that she is now doing well.
Outcome
Malaria can damage the kidneys or liver or cause the spleen to rupture. Any of these conditions can be life-threatening. Anemia. Malaria may result in not having enough red blood cells for an adequate supply of oxygen to your body's tissues (anemia). Acute gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining, can cause a range of effects, primarily affecting the digestive system. Common symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and indigestion. In severe cases, it can lead to complications like bleeding, gastric outlet obstruction, and dehydration.
