Rabiu is a calm an simple child. He always helps his father when at home. He likes going to school, aspires to become a Doctor. Due to his current condition, he hasn't been to school for a while. Rabiu presented with a 5-day history of high-grade fever, convulsion, vomiting and cough. Upon presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed of Cerebral malaria, Hypoglycemia and Sepsis. Rabiu requires urgent medical intervention.

Rabiu was admitted in our facility with complaints high-grade fever, convulsion, vomiting and cough. After proper evaluation, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Malaria, hypoglycemia and sepsis. He was resuscitated and had his complete dosages of parenteral Antimalarials, Antibiotics, Analgesics and other medications necessary. He was also rehydrated with IV fluids. As the treatment progressed, he responded well as evidenced by resolving of his admitting symptoms. He was then discharged home with oral medications following the improvement of his condition.

Rabiu's life is at risk because of Cerebral Malaria, which is a life threatening condition when not promptly and appropriately attended to. However with prompt treatment using Injectable and oral antimalarials, coupled with other supplementary drugs patients respond and fully recover from the condition.
