Fred Kiprop is a 7-year-old boy currently enrolled in PP2 and residing at Sunrise Children's Home. He was taken in at the age of 2 after being found wandering the neighborhood in search of food. His mother was mentally ill, and his grandmother, who was his primary caregiver, struggled with alcoholism, leading to severe neglect. At the time of his rescue, Fred was malnourished and suffering from jigger infestation. Since joining the children's home, which is sustained by the generosity of well-wishers, Fred has shown remarkable improvement. He now thrives in a nurturing environment, enjoys attending school, and loves playing with his friends. Recently, he experienced abdominal pain, headache, and a loss of appetite, prompting a hospital visit where he was assessed and diagnosed to be suffering from gastritis

Fred was treated with antibiotics and he is now feeling much better. Once he is done with medication he will fully recover. If left untreated, H. pylori infection can lead to more serious conditions such as stomach ulcers, bleeding, or even an increased risk of stomach cancer over time.
