Khadija Begum, a 25-year-old housewife who loves cooking, lives with her husband Rubel, their young son Abdur Rahman, and her elderly in-laws in a modest tin-shed house. Rubel works as a daily wage laborer, earning only 9,000 taka per month, which is barely enough to provide food, education, and basic needs for the family, leaving no money for medical treatment. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, Khadija suddenly felt reduced fetal movement, and the ultrasound revealed a breech presentation with fetal distress—an emergency requiring immediate caesarean section. Without this urgent operation, her unborn baby’s life is in grave danger, and even Khadija’s health could be at serious risk. The family fears losing both mother and child simply because they cannot afford the cost of treatment.

After experiencing less fetal movement for 1 day for over 37+ weeks, she arrived at our hospital at 9.30 pm in 31 august 2025,where doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed breech presentation with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful baby girl. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient in 3rd September 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

The doctors anticipate that with an immediate cesarean section, both the mother and baby have a high chance of safe delivery and recovery. Surgical intervention will significantly reduce the risks of uterine rupture, prolonged labor, and worsening fetal distress. If left untreated, the baby may suffer from oxygen deprivation leading to brain injury or stillbirth, while the mother faces life-threatening complications such as hemorrhage or uterine rupture. Therefore, prompt treatment is expected to greatly improve outcomes and ensure the best possible prognosis for both mother and child.
