Background

Sheuly, a 25-year-old housewife, was filled with joy at the thought of welcoming her second and third children, but that happiness was overshadowed by the stress of their family's poverty. When she experienced severe abdominal pain and reduced fetal movement at 36 weeks pregnant, her husband, Mohammad Muazzem, a medicine shop worker earning just 7,000 taka a month, was helpless to afford the immediate C-section she desperately needed. With their local government hospital unable to perform the emergency surgery, they faced a devastating reality. Without urgent intervention, both Sheuly and her unborn twin babies were at extreme risk of death, a tragedy that would have left their son, Ismail, without his mother and siblings.

Medical history

Sheuly had 36 weeks plus pregnancy. suddenly she complaints of severe abdominal pain which was labour pain. She had also complaints of less foetal movement and per vaginal discharge. patient got admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic. As there was foetal distress and labour was not progressed patient needed emergency cesarean section. Cesarean section was done successfully under spinal anaesthesia and a healthy male baby was delivered. After operation conservative treatment was given. Sheuly was admitted on 23/07/25, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 26/07/25. Now patient is doing well, she is back to her normal life with smiling face. ‎

Outcome

The patient had 36 plus weeks of pregnancy with labor pain and per vaginal discharge. Patient had also less foetal distress. Patient got admitted in Narayanganj Poly Clinic. Due to non progressive labour pain and foetal distress cesarean section was done under spinal anesthesia. A healthy twin male baby was born emergency resuscitation for the baby was given. Sheuly and her baby are doing well now.
