Background
Zakari is 17 year old boy who loves playing football his dream is to become intentional footballer in future He started having fever for over a week , followed by headache, nausea and dizziness. Upon presentation it was discovered he has Severe malaria The initial symptoms of malaria of non-specific, resembling other common c illnesses like the flu, gastroenteritis, or even pneumonia. The girl may have started with a high fever, headaches, chills, nausea, vomiting, and extreme weakness. However, without treatment, the disease progresses quickly from uncomplicated to severe, often within a matter of hours.
Medical history
Zakari recovery continued. He returned to playing with his friends, laughter echoing through the village. His parents, forever grateful to Helpster charity and the medical staff, treatment that saved their son’s life, became vocal advocates for malaria prevention.The patient received an immediate intravenous (IV) dose of Artesunate (2.4 mg/kg). This is the first-line treatment because it clears parasites faster than older drugs.
Outcome
doctor's opinion on severe malaria is that it is a critical and potentially fatal condition that demands immediate medical attention and aggressive treatment. The prognosis, while grim without intervention, is greatly improved with prompt and appropriate care, particularly with the use of IV artesunate and comprehensive supportive care.
