Musa dreams of becoming a doctor one day, inspired by the care he receives during his hospital visits. His favorite play activity is pretending to treat his teddy bear like a patient, mimicking what he sees at the hospital. Though his condition brings occasional pain, Musa's strong spirit and supportive family keep his dreams alive. Musa Muktar,was admitted to General Hospital Nguru on 4th August 2025 after experiencing two days of severe body pain, fever, and difficulty moving his limbs. Upon presentation at our hospital, and after further clinical evaluation, he was diagnosed with severe sickle cell crisis, a painful complication of his condition. At the hospital, he was treated with fluids, pain relief, antibiotics, and supportive care. His condition steadily improved, and by the fourth day, he was pain-free, active, and afebrile.

Musa Muktar, a 3-year-old boy with known Sickle Cell Disease (HbSS), was admitted to General Hospital Nguru on 4th August 2025 due to a sickle cell crisis characterized by severe body pain, fever, and difficulty moving his limbs. He received comprehensive care including IV fluids, pain relief, antibiotics, and hematinics, along with nutritional support and caregiver education. With steady clinical improvement and no complications, Musa was discharged on 8th August 2025. Special thanks to Helpster Charity for their support during his treatment and recovery.

Musa is suffering from severe sickle cell crisis and in need of urgent medical treatment of admission, hydration, pain relief, treatment of the cause of crisis such as infection and anemia. Prognosis is good when treated early and appropraitely. With regular treatment, Musa can lead a more stable life, experience fewer painful crises, and grow healthily with proper care. However, if left untreated, his condition could lead to frequent severe pain, infections, organ damage, and life-threatening complications over time. Early and consistent medical care is crucial for his long-term well-being.
