Hajara Kabiru is a bright and imaginative 5-year-old girl from Tsohon Nguru. She loves drawing colorful pictures, especially of animals and nature, and enjoys storytelling—often making up tales about brave girls who go on adventures and help others. Hajara Kabiru, a 5-year-old girl began experiencing body pain, low-grade fever, and couldn't walk for three days before being admitted to General Hospital Nguru on August 5, 2025. On presentation at our hospital, she was diagnosed with severe Sickle cell crisis. She was in pain but had no signs of infection or other complications.

Hajara Kabiru, a 5-year-old girl with known Sickle Cell Anemia, was admitted to General Hospital Nguru on 5th August 2025 due to body pain, fever, and inability to walk. She received intravenous fluids, pain relief, antibiotics, and supportive care. Her condition improved steadily, and by the third day, she was walking unaided. She was discharged in stable condition on 9th August 2025, with follow-up care arranged. Special thanks to Helpster Charity for their support in making her treatment and recovery possible.

Hajara is suffering from painful sickle cell crisis which causes her weakness, anemia, and pains. The doctor’s prognosis is positive if treatment is early and appropriate. with proper treatment Hajara can lead a stable life with fewer sickle cell crises. However, if left untreated, her condition could lead to frequent pain episodes, severe anemia, infections, and life-threatening complications that could affect her growth, development, and overall quality of life.
