Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Bokoli Subcounty Hospital

Bokoli Sub-County Hospital, Sikata - Kimilili Rd, Bokoli

Background

Jackline is twenty years old, and is already a widow with three children to take care of. She is a manual labourer and would have liked to be a teacher, but things did not go as planned. She is determined to work hard enough to be able to take her children to school. She has been having hotness of the body, joint pain, headache and a cough for the past few days.

Medical history

Jackline presented with symptoms of cough, chills, rigors, loss of appetite, and fever, leading to her initial outpatient treatment for malaria with Artemether-Lumefantrine. However, the absence of improvement prompted a referral for further examination, where it was discovered that she also had severe pneumonia. Helpster Charity stepped in to support Jackline, who was in need, by covering her hospital expenses. Following the correct diagnosis and the administration of appropriate medication, Jackline's condition stabilized, and she was in good health at the time of her discharge.

Outcome

If upper respiratory tract infections are not treated, they could end up causing permanent damage to the lungs and, in some cases, can cause death. Prognosis here is good, since the patient has come to hospital early enough to be treated, and to fully recover.
