Nazira just clocked 5, she lives with her parents. The father sells vegetables and the the mother is a full time house wife making the home suitable for her family. Nazira is the 3rd child among 5 children. She attends a government primary school and she is performing quite well, making the parents so proud of her. She could not make it to school due to complaint of fever, headache and abdominal pain. The father bought some paracetamol syrup from the chemist and gave it to Nazira, nothing changed as her condition worsened. No money to take her to the hospital. They were informed about Helpster Charity by a beneficiary, they made contact with me as a volunteer and we arranged for them to visit Albishir Hospital to be properly checked. Upon presentation at our hospital , we saw she had Enteric fever and malaria With early diagnosis and antibiotics, most patients recover fully. Delayed or untreated cases may lead to intestinal perforation, bleeding, or chronic carriage. Good hygiene and vaccination improve long-term outcomes.

With support from Helpster Charity and immediate medical attention from Albishir Clinic, Nazira a 5 years old girl diagnosed with malaria and enteric fever has responded positively to treatment, with clearance of fever, chills, abdominal discomfort, and weakness. Combined antimalarial and antibiotic therapies were effective, as shown by stable vital signs and improved laboratory results. She has regained strength, appetite, and normal activity levels, signifying good recovery and readiness for discharge with follow-up care.
