Background
Aisha Yusuf enjoys reading, caring for children, and listening to health and education programs. She dreams of becoming a nurse or community health worker to help improve healthcare in her rural community. fell ill with high fever, weakness, headache, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort for six days due to typhoid fever and severe malaria. Her symptoms were linked to poor access to clean water and sanitation. She was admitted to General Hospital Nguru on 5th August 2025, treated with antimalarials, antibiotics, and supportive care. After seven days of treatment, her condition improved significantly.
Medical history
Aisha was admitted in general hospital nguru on 5th August 2025. treated for severe malaria and typhoid fever with IV artesunate, antibiotics (Ceftriaxone and Azithromycin), fluids, and supportive care. Her symptoms improved steadily, with malaria resolving by day 4 and significant relief from typhoid symptoms by day 7. Outcome
The doctor’s prognosis is positive with proper treatment Aisha is expected to recover fully. However, if left untreated, severe malaria and typhoid fever could lead to life-threatening complications such as anemia, dehydration, septicemia, or organ failure.
