Fatima is 8 years old. She has 8 other siblings, they're all living with their parents. Fatima is in a free government primary school. The father does not have a job, the mother is doing her best in terms of doing a petty trading to provide for the family. They live in a 3 rooms apartment, during raining season, they use buckets to prevent water from dripping down from the roof. Fatima started having fever for about 1 day, it gets worst in the evenings with associated loss of appetite, though no cough, this made her stay out of school for 5 days. The parents are not having finaces to take her to the hospital. They were informed from Fatima's school about Helpster Charity. This made the mother reach out to me as a volunteer to get help. They brought her to WholeCare clinic for proper evaluation. She was diagnosed of malaria fever.

She was discharged with some oral medications. Parents remain grateful for the medical support from Helpster Charity.

Effective treatment with antimalarial drugs like artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) improves outcomes. Preventive strategies include mosquito control, insecticide-treated nets, indoor spraying, and prophylactic medications. Vaccination efforts (such as RTS,S) are also reducing malaria burden in high-risk areas. For Fatima, she was placed on both orals and injections, expecting a very good outcome.
