Kabir is 18 months old. He is the only child of the mother. The mother has been divorced by the husband who has another wife with 8 children, her ex husband is a security guard. He completely stopped all responsibility for her and the child, no food, no money or good clothes. She and the child are at the mercy of anyone who can help. He was born with abnormalities. Some days back, he started having serious fever, vomiting everything with high body temperature. No money for drugs, no food or good shelter. A fellow brought her to Helpster Charity for help. Upon presentation and evaluation at our hospital he was diagnosed of malaria and Respiratory tract infection

Mumammed a 1yo male child was brought to our facility with some serious fever, vomiting everything with high body temperature. No money for drugs, no food or good shelter. A fellow brought her to Helpster Charity for help. Upon presentation and evaluation at our hospital he was diagnosed of malaria and respiratory tract infection. Treatment commenced with injection anti malarials, injection anti biotics and other supportive medication. She did well, became stable, fever stopped and the temperture was normalized. She was discharged with some take home drugs to return after 1 week for follow up. The family remained grateful for the support by Helpster charity.

The prognosis of malaria and RTI in a patient with cerebral palsy depends on the severity of infection and how quickly treatment is started. With prompt medical care, including effective antimalarial drugs, antibiotics, and supportive therapies, many patients recover well. However, due to underlying neurological limitations, complications like prolonged illness, recurrent infections, or delayed recovery are more likely, making early intervention and close monitoring essential.
