Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Sarah is a one-year-old girl, the fifth child of a young single mother who was abandoned by the father. The mother earns a living by doing laundry in the neighboring villages, but her income is insufficient to meet the family’s basic needs or afford proper medical care. Through friends, she learned about Helpster Charity and sought assistance for her child’s treatment. Sarah was brought to the hospital after accidentally sustaining burns from boiling milk, affecting her buttocks and lower limbs. On examination, she was found to have second-degree burns covering approximately 18% of her body surface area

Medical history

Sarah was burned accidentally with boiled hot milk at home sustained injuries on the lower limb and the battock, she was rushed to the facility at around 9 pm. Cleaning and dressing was done immediately and she went through laboratory tests and admitted for treatment and other management, she was given i.v floxapen,i.v flagyl, i.v pcm, dermercine cream was also applied, she responded slowly to medication which leads to be referred to korry family hospital to see specialist for more check up.

Outcome

Sarah has a good prognosis since she received timely and appropriate medical care. With proper wound management, pain control, infection prevention, and nutritional support, the burns are expected to heal without significant complications. The early intervention and close monitoring, which she had, are essential to prevent infection and ensure proper skin regeneration. Given her young age and otherwise stable condition, she is likely to regain full function of the affected areas, although ongoing follow-up may be needed to monitor healing and prevent scarring or contractures. With proper care, she is expected to recover, though healing may take several weeks, and some scarring or skin sensitivity may remain in the affected areas.
