Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Jannatul Ferdows, a 19-year-old housewife, lives with her husband Sajeeb Hossain and her mother-in-law Kulsum Bibi in a modest home. Sajeeb works as a daily wage laborer, earning only 9,000 taka per month, which is barely enough to cover food and daily needs, leaving no savings for medical expenses. Jannatul, who loves cooking and dreams of a happy family life, faced a terrifying complication during her first pregnancy—after more than 24 hours of painful but failed home delivery, doctors discovered obstructed labor with fetal distress. Without an immediate caesarean section, both Jannatul and her unborn baby could lose their lives. The family is desperate, but their financial struggles make it impossible to afford the life-saving treatment

Medical history

After experiencing labour pain for more than 24 hours with failed home trial over 38 weeks of her pregnancy , she arrived at our hospital at 5.30AM in 23 august, where doctors performed an ultrasound and clinical examination that revealed obstructed labour with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful baby girl. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 26 august 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Outcome

Given the patient's condition, doctor diagnosed this case as an obstructed labour with fetal distress. the doctor's prognosis emphasizes the necessity of close monitoring and timely intervention to ensure a safe outcome. If obstructed labour left untreated, that leads to brain damage, or even stillbirth of the baby as well as death of mother. The doctor's treatment plan will likely involve careful fetal monitoring and a decision on the safest time and method of delivery and this plan is to do immediate caesarean section operation .
