Tania Akter, a 26-year-old devoted mother and housewife, is now in her third pregnancy and dreams of a healthy baby and a happy family life with her husband Faruk and their two sons, Zubair and Jaberul. Living in a household of six, including her elderly parents-in-law, the family struggles on Faruk’s meager income of just 9,000 BDT per month, making it impossible to afford the urgent medical care Tania now needs. At 37+ weeks, she developed severe lower abdominal pain and scar tenderness, and an ultrasound revealed life-threatening severe oligohydramnios. Doctors have advised an immediate C-section to save both her and her unborn child, but without this surgery, both face serious risk of death. Her family is desperate, unable to bear the cost, and praying for a miracle to protect Tania and her baby.

After experiencing, scar tenderness for 2 days and lower abdominal pain over 37+weeks of her pregnancy , she arrived at our hospital at 1.00PM in 9th September 2025, where doctors performed an ultrasound and clinical examination that revealed severe oligohydro amnions with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby . Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 12th September 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Based on the critical diagnosis, the doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a life-saving intervention for both the mother and baby. The patient's previous history of caesarean section , combined with scar tenderness and severe oligohydramnios, indicate that the baby and mother are in immediate danger. If left untreated, the lack of amniotic fluid will likely lead to umbilical cord compression, cutting off the baby's oxygen and nutrient supply and potentially resulting in irreversible brain damage or even stillbirth. If scar tenderness left untreated, it may cause uterine rupture at any time resulting in death of mother and upcoming baby. Therefore, the doctor's recommendation of an immediate C-section is a crucial, time-sensitive measure to ensure a healthy and safe delivery, providing the best possible outcome for the baby's future.
