Madhobi Rani, a 21-year-old woman with a gentle heart and unshakable resilience despite her congenital eye problem and speech impairment, lives in a tin-shed home with her husband, child, and elderly mother-in-law. Her husband earns only about 5,000 BDT a month as a day laborer, which barely meets the family’s food and basic needs, leaving no way to cover the urgent treatment costs. Now 32+ weeks pregnant with her third child, an ultrasound has revealed that the baby is in a transverse lie position, and with her history of two miscarriages, the risks are extremely high. Without proper medical intervention, both Madhobi and her unborn child face life-threatening complications during delivery. Yet, she continues to hold on to her dream of a safe birth and a hopeful future for her family, even as her circumstances make it nearly impossible.

The patient, Madhobi admitted to City Clinic on 5th October 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 2.8 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 9th October 2025 with proper postnatal advice. According to the doctor's prognosis, the planned C-section is the only safe path forward for Madhobi and her baby. The procedure will bypass the immense risks of a vaginal transverse birth, ensuring the baby is delivered safely and preventing life-threatening complications like uterine rupture or severe bleeding for Madhobi. Without this surgical intervention, the doctor predicts a high likelihood of a tragic outcome, with both Madhobi and her child facing the prospect of severe injury or even death. The C-section, while a major surgery, is a life-saving measure that offers the best chance for a healthy mother and a healthy baby, allowing them to finally begin their lives together as a family.
