Whitney N., 8

Natasha is an 8-year-old girl from Nango village and the eldest of four children. She is a cheerful and playful girl who enjoys netball at school and is determined to work hard to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher. For the past two weeks, Natasha had been unwell, experiencing abdominal pain, frequent headaches, intermittent fevers, vomiting, and diarrhea. Her father first took her to a village clinic, where she was treated and discharged, but her condition did not improve. With continued illness and limited financial means, her father sought help from a Community Health Provider, who referred her to the hospital and connected them with Helpster Charity. At the hospital, Natasha underwent laboratory investigations and was admitted for treatment. She has since shown great improvement and is now doing well.

Natasha was very weak upon admission.She was diagnosed with severe malaria which prompted for iv artesunate and fluid tharapy to replace the fluid lose and electrolytes due to Gastroenteritis.Upon commencement of treatment , she showed marked improvement, the vomiting and diarrhea stopped there after she was given oral medication. She's doing well and helping in the home and also has gone back to school.Whitney has also resumed her normal good health.

Whitney came to the facility and was diagnosed with malaria and attended to promptly. Whitney showed marked improvement and at the time of discharge, her prognosis was good and was booked for a follow up check up in a week time to ascertain her full recovery. Her prognosis is good.
