Imtiaz is a bright and playful 2-year-old boy from a poor village family in Bangladesh. His father is absent, and the family survives only on his grandfather’s small income of 6000 BDT, which barely covers food for the four family members living in their simple fence-made house. His mother dreams of giving him a better future through education, but she worries because since birth his left testis has not descended, and he often cries in pain from swelling in the inguinal region. Without timely surgery, his condition could worsen, leading to dangerous complications like testicular torsion, infertility, cancer, or hernia. Despite their love and hope for Imtiaz, the family simply cannot afford the treatment that could save his health and future.

The patient admitted in the hospital on 17/09/2025. The doctor said that his left testicle had not descended into the proper place. Surgery would be required. After the operation, the child would be normal; otherwise, there would be a risk of cancer in the future, which could even lead to death. That same day, we admitted him to the hospital. The next day, the operation was performed, and it was successful. Now the child is healthy. His mother is dreaming a lot about him — that he will grow up to be a learned person. We are happy to have become a part of this dream.

The doctor explained that with timely orchidopexy, the child has an excellent chance of living a completely healthy and normal life. The surgery will place the testis in the correct position, reducing the risk of infertility, testicular cancer, and painful complications like torsion or hernia in the future. If left untreated, however, the condition may severely affect the child’s ability to have children later in life and put him at risk of life-threatening emergencies. Early intervention not only protects his health but also gives him the opportunity to grow up strong and pursue his mother’s dream of higher education and a better future.
