Sadiya is 1 year old child, the second child of her parents. The father is a commercial motorcycle rider and the mother is a house wife. They live in an inherited apartment belonging to them. They use water from the well for their daily activities, no access to electricity and the road to their home is so bad. Getting what to eat is sometimes very difficult. Sadiya has been having high body temperature, fever and nasal blockage. Despite some home remedies, no positive results, no money to take her to the hospital and they were referred to Albishir hospital for the medical support by Helpster Charity. On presentation at our hospital, and after further evaluation, she was diagnosed with Lower respiratory tract infection.

Sadiya a 1 year old girl, presetented with fever, cough and nasal blockage was admitted to our hospital. She was diagnosed with respiratory tract infection and treated commenced with injection antibiotics and other supportive medications. She became stable and was discharged with some take home orals and was scheduled for follow-up.

With prompt diagnosis and proper treatment, most patients recover well from lower respiratory tract infections. However, if left untreated or in severe cases, it can lead to complications such as pneumonia, breathing difficulties, or even life-threatening illness, especially in children and the elderly. Sadiya was admitted and early treatment commenced with injection antibiotics and other supportive care.
