Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Masud Rana, a 7-year-old cheerful and creative boy, lives in a crowded camp with his parents, grandparents, and six other family members who struggle to survive on his father’s meager daily wage income. Despite his bright smile and love for drawing, his painful swelling in the right inguino-scrotal region has made walking and playing difficult, forcing him to miss out on the joys of childhood. The family cannot afford the costly surgery he needs, as their limited earnings are barely enough to cover food and shelter for nine members. Doctors have warned that without timely treatment, Masud’s condition could worsen, leading to severe pain, restricted mobility, and dangerous complications. Yet, he continues to dream of becoming a teacher, filling his sketchbooks with hope, while his family prays for the chance to save their little boy’s future.

Medical history

Masud Rana came with right-sided congenital inguinal hernia with hydrocele and was admitted to the hospital on 30.10.2025. After necessary investigations and preoperative care, he underwent a successful herniotomy with hydrocelectomy on 01.11.2025. The operation was completed smoothly without any complications. Following surgery, he received proper medical management, pain control, and attentive nursing care, which supported his quick recovery. His condition improved significantly, and he became much better than before. Masud Rana was discharged on 03.11.2025 in a stable and healthy condition, with advice for regular follow-up and post-operative care.

Outcome

Untreated, Masud Rana's condition will likely worsen, leading to increased pain, limited mobility, and potential complications like an incarcerated or strangulated hernia. However, with the recommended surgical procedures of hernioplasty and hydrocelectomy, his swelling will be corrected, alleviating the pain and discomfort that currently restrict his daily activities. The successful treatment will not only restore normal movement and allow him to participate in physical activities without issue but also prevent future complications, significantly improving his long-term quality of life.
