Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Sumaiya Islam, a bright and hardworking 16-year-old girl from a small village, dreams of becoming a doctor to help poor people like her own family. She lives with her parents, younger brother, and sister, and despite their poverty, she helps her mother with housework and excels in her studies at the local madrasa. Recently, she developed a severe peritonsillar abscess and nasal septal deviation, causing intense throat pain, swelling, fever, and difficulty breathing. Her family is extremely poor and cannot afford the necessary tonsillectomy and septoplasty, leaving Sumaiya at risk of serious complications, including airway blockage and recurrent infections. Desperate for help, they approached RUDO Hospital, where Dr. Arif informed them about Helpster charity, offering hope for the life-saving treatment Sumaiya urgently needs.
Medical history
Sumiaya Islam, a 16-year-old girl from Pabna, had been suffering from severe throat problems for a long time. Eating, speaking, and even sleeping had become painful for her because of enlarged tonsils and adenoids. Her family was worried as the condition was affecting her daily life and studies. For her family, arranging proper treatment was a big challenge. At that difficult moment, Helpster Charity stepped forward with compassion and support. With their assistance, Sumiaya was admitted to RUDO Hospital. On 13 November 2025, the doctors carefully examined her and confirmed that she needed an adenotonsillectomy surgery. Despite her fear, Sumiaya showed incredible courage. The skilled medical team of the hospital performed the operation successfully and ensured she received proper care and monitoring. With the dedication of the doctors and the support of Helpster Charity, Sumiaya slowly began to recover. Within a couple of days, her pain started to fade, and she could finally swallow and speak more comfortably again. On 15 November 2025, she was discharged from the hospital in a stable condition, carrying not just medicines but also renewed hope for a healthy life. For Sumiaya and her family, this was more than just treatment—it was a life-changing moment. Their gratitude goes to Helpster Charity for standing beside them and to RUDO Hospital for providing compassionate and professional care.
Outcome
With timely treatment, Sumaiya Islam’s Peritonsillar Abscess can be effectively managed through surgical drainage of the abscess, and her tonsils may be removed (tonsillectomy) to prevent recurrence. Additionally, corrective surgery for her deviated nasal septum (DNS) can restore proper airflow and relieve nasal obstruction. If these interventions are performed promptly, she is expected to recover fully, regain normal breathing and swallowing, and avoid recurrent infections. Without treatment, the abscess could spread, leading to severe airway obstruction, systemic infection, or life-threatening complications, while untreated DNS would continue to cause chronic nasal blockage, discomfort, and recurrent sinus problems. Early surgical and medical intervention will therefore significantly improve her health, quality of life, and long-term well-being.
