Mst. Mim Akter is a 16-year-old girl from an extremely poor family of six, where her father supports everyone by selling tea and earning only 8,000 taka a month. Despite growing up with hardship, Mim is known in her family for her gentle nature and her love for cooking, always trying to bring joy to her parents, younger sister Mahi, and little brother Mahin. Now at 38 weeks of pregnancy, she suddenly developed severe lower abdominal pain and leaking fluid, and doctors found she had severe oligohydramnios, a life-threatening condition for both her and her unborn baby. Without urgent surgery, she could face dangerous complications such as fetal distress, infection, or even losing her baby. Her father, mother, and young husband—who has no stable job—are devastated because they simply cannot afford the cost of surgery, yet they desperately want to save both Mim and her child.

Mst. Mim Akter was admitted to the hospital on September 27, 2025, with a diagnosis of severe oligohydramnios. On the same day, she underwent a successful cesarean section and delivered a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged in good health on September 30, 2025.
