Md. Habibur Rahman, a 20-year-old student from Kocchopia village, Noakhali, lives with his hardworking father, Shahid Hasan, a poor farmer, and his two younger siblings. Despite their struggles, Habibur is known for his honesty, determination, and love for learning, dreaming one day to become a teacher and lift his family out of poverty. However, his battle with severe gallstone disease has left him in constant pain, unable to study or help his father in the fields. The family’s limited income barely covers daily needs, leaving them unable to afford the life-saving surgery he urgently requires. Without timely treatment, his condition could worsen, leading to dangerous infections or organ failure, threatening both his health and his family’s hope for a better future.

Habibur Rahman was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital, Mohammadpur, Dhaka, on 21 October 2025 with severe stomach pain. Doctors found gallstones and performed surgery the same day to remove his gallbladder. After the operation, he was given medicine and proper care. He recovered well and was discharged on 23 October 2025 in stable condition. Habibur is now resting at home and continuing follow-up treatment as advised by doctors.

A Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder, is the recommended and most effective treatment for Cholelithiasis. This minimally invasive procedure will relieve Habibur Rahman’s abdominal pain, prevent further inflammation or infection, and restore normal digestion. With timely surgery, he is expected to recover quickly and return to normal daily activities without long-term complications. However, if left untreated, the gallstones could lead to serious problems such as gallbladder infection (cholecystitis), bile duct obstruction, jaundice, or even pancreatitis, all of which can become life-threatening. Early surgical intervention offers the best chance for a full and lasting recovery.
