Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Ushindi is a 2-year-old cheerful child who enjoys playing with toys and watching cartoons. She has been living at the Children’s Home for the past nine months. Known for her friendly and playful nature, she easily gets along with other children. The matron envisions a bright future for her and hopes she will become a teacher someday. Ushindi had been in good health until about three days ago when she developed a persistent cough lasting five days, accompanied by fever, headache, and nasal congestion. She was taken to Rheemah Hospital, where she was examined and treated by a doctor.

Medical history

Upon arrival at Rheemah Hospital, Ushindi presented with persistent cough, fever, chest pain, chest congestion, and shortness of breath. She was brought to the facility after her condition worsened. A thorough clinical evaluation was conducted by the Medical Officer, and she was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. Prompt treatment was initiated, and she responded well to the prescribed medications. She was discharged on the same day in stable condition. Ushindi’s condition improved significantly, and a few days later, the children’s home volunteer reported that she had returned to her cheerful self and was doing well.

Outcome

Ushindi’s prognosis is good. With prompt medical treatment, adequate rest, and proper hydration, she should recover fully within one to two weeks. The prescribed medications will help reduce inflammation, ease coughing, and relieve congestion. It is important to monitor her closely for any recurrence of fever or breathing difficulties, as these may indicate a secondary infection. Ushindi is expected to make a complete recovery and return to her playful, cheerful self soon.
