Nuresha Begum, a hardworking 26-year-old mother, is 35 weeks pregnant with her second child and dreams of a safe delivery. Her baby is in an oblique position with fetal distress, and her previous C-sections make natural delivery extremely dangerous. The family lives in a fragile home with a tin roof and mud floor, supported only by her husband’s meager income of 6,000 BDT per month, which barely covers food for their five-member household, including her parents-in-law and their first child, an 8-year-old studying in a government school. Without urgent surgical intervention, both Nuresha and her baby face life-threatening risks such as uterine rupture or severe fetal complications. Despite her courage and resilience, the family’s extreme poverty makes affording the necessary C-section nearly impossible, putting their lives in immediate danger.

The patient, Nuresha admitted to City Clinic on 5th October 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 2.8 kg male baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 9th October 2025 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.

According to the doctor's prognosis, the planned C-section is the only safe path forward for Nuresha and her baby. The procedure will bypass the immense risks of a vaginal Oblique birth, ensuring the baby is delivered safely and preventing life-threatening complications like uterine rupture or severe bleeding for Nuresha. Without this surgical intervention, the doctor predicts a high likelihood of a tragic outcome, with both Nuresha and her child facing the prospect of severe injury or even death. The C-section, while a major surgery, is a life-saving measure that offers the best chance for a healthy mother and a healthy baby, allowing them to finally begin their lives together as a family
