Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Monira Akter Mitu, a bright and hardworking class nine student, has always dreamed of becoming a doctor one day. Her father, Md. Mojidul Islam, works long hours as a sales assistant at a petroleum station, barely earning enough to support their five-member family. With her elderly grandparents and homemaker mother depending on his small income, the family struggles to meet daily expenses, let alone afford costly medical treatment. Now, Monira’s condition has worsened due to appendicitis, and doctors have warned that without urgent surgery, her life could be at serious risk. Despite their financial hardship, the family is doing everything they can to save their beloved daughter, whose determination and hope continue to inspire them all.

Medical history

Monira Akter Mitu was admitted to the hospital on October 4, 2025, with complaints of right-sided abdominal pain. Upon medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with appendicitis. A successful appendicectomy was performed on the same day. Following post-operative care and observation, she recovered well and was discharged in good health on October 9, 2025, five days after surgery. Her father and mother came to the hospital to receive her. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, and Bablu Abdullah for their support and treatment. Her father was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster, which played a crucial role in ensuring timely medical care for his daughter.

Outcome

The doctor has explained that Monira needs an urgent appendicectomy, which will completely cure her condition and allow her to return to a normal, healthy life. With timely surgery, she can recover within a few weeks and continue her studies without further complications. However, if left untreated, the infected appendix could burst, leading to a life-threatening condition called peritonitis. This could cause severe infection throughout her body, putting her life in grave danger. The doctor emphasized that immediate treatment is essential to save Monira’s life and ensure her bright future.
