Abdulrahman A., 9

Abdulrahman is 9 years old. He attends a government primary school with the rest of his siblings. Currently living with his parents in a rented apartment with a separated toilet. Abdulrahman presented with fever, high body temperature, abdominal pain, chills, coughing as well as body weakness. Even though some first aid was given, no money to go to the hospital for proper medical help. The mother brought to Albisbir Hospital because she hear about Helpster Charity from a friend who benefited from the program. On presentation at our facility and after further evaluation, the child was diagnosed with enteric fever and malaria.

Abdulrahman a 9 years old child was brought to Albisbir clinic with symptoms of malaria, making him look so weak. He was immediately admitted and attended to. Diagnoses of enteric fever and malaria was made and treatment commenced with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care. He was stable, regained strength, eats well and also sleep well. He was discharged with some take home orals and was scheduled for follow-up. They are happy and thankful to Helpster Charity for their support.

With early and proper treatment, the prognosis for patients with enteric fever and malaria is generally good. Most recover fully with antimalarial drugs, antibiotics, and supportive care. However, if diagnosis or treatment is delayed, complications such as severe anemia, dehydration, intestinal perforation, or organ failure may occur. Close monitoring ensures complete recovery and prevents relapse
