Patience K., 15

Patient is a 15 years old child living with her parents. She attends a government secondary school and wishes to become a nurse in future. Mother is a retired and father is a farmer. Patience has been vomiting, feeling dizzy, having headache, low appetite, waist pain, private part discharge and retrosternal burning sensation. There is no money to take her to the hospital, they heard about Helpster Charity from a neighbor and they came to Albishir Clinic for medical assistance. On presentation at our hospital, and upon further clinical evaluation, She was admitted and diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease, enteric fever and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Patient is a 15 years old female child presented weak, having abdominal pain, waist pain, no appetite having vaginal discharge and retrosternal burning sensation. She was admitted and diagnosed with PUD exacerbation, enteric fever and PID. Treatment commenced with injection antibiotics and other supportive care, patient did well and became stable. She was discharged with some take home orals and was scheduled for follow-up. They are happy and remain thankful to Helpster Charity for their support.

With early and adequate treatment, patients with PUD exacerbation, enteric fever, and pelvic inflammatory disease generally recover well. Acid-suppressing drugs and lifestyle changes help heal ulcers; antibiotics effectively treat enteric fever and PID. However, delayed or poor treatment can lead to complications such as ulcer bleeding, intestinal perforation, or infertility. Regular follow-up and adherence to therapy ensure full recovery and prevent recurrence.
