Simeon is 8 years old male child living with his mother and grand parents, the father is no longer taking responsibility of taking care of their mother and the children. The above-named patient presented to our facility on the 26th day of September, 2025 with the complaint of cough, catarrh, fever, watery stool and insomnia. Upon presentation at our hospital and after further evaluation ,he was diagnosed with malaria and enteric fever.

Simeon is an 8 yo male child, he has been having fever, cough and catarrh, watery stool and insomnia. He was admitted and diagnosed with lower respiratory tract infection and enteric fever. Treatment commenced with injection antibiotics and other supportive care, he did well and became stable. He was discharged with some take home orals and was scheduled for follow-up. The family are very happy and remain grateful to Helpster Charity team for the medical support.

The prognosis of LRTI and enteric fever is generally favorable with prompt diagnosis and appropriate antibiotic treatment. Most patients recover fully, but delays or inadequate therapy can lead to complications—such as respiratory failure or sepsis in LRTI, and intestinal perforation or bleeding in enteric fever. Early medical care greatly improves outcomes and reduces the risk of severe illness.
