Golapi Akter, a 25-year-old devoted wife and mother, is 32+ weeks pregnant with her second child and faces a high-risk pregnancy because her baby is in a breech position. Despite her gentle nature and love for caring for her family, her husband’s modest income as a day laborer barely covers daily expenses, leaving them unable to afford the cost of the needed cesarean delivery. Her elderly mother-in-law tries to comfort her, while her little daughter waits eagerly to meet the new baby. Without the treatment, both Golapi and her unborn child could face life-threatening complications during childbirth. The family’s greatest wish is for Golapi to have a safe delivery and bring home a healthy baby, but financial hardship stands in their way.

The patient, Mamuni was admitted to City Clinic on 15th November 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 2.4 kg female baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 19th November 2025 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.

The doctor has recommended a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest mode of delivery due to the baby’s breech position and the high-risk nature of the pregnancy. This procedure is expected to ensure a safe birth for both mother and child by preventing complications that could occur during a normal vaginal delivery. With timely surgery, the prognosis is excellent, and both mother and baby are likely to recover well with proper postnatal care. However, if the condition were left untreated and a normal delivery attempted, there would be a high risk of injury or distress to the baby and possible serious complications for the mother. Therefore, LUCS offers the best chance for a healthy outcome.
