Twelve-year-old Jannati Akter, a bright student who dreams of becoming a teacher and loves reading books, has been suffering from severe throat pain and high fever for months due to a dangerous peri-tonsillar abscess. Her father, Delwar Hossain, is visually impaired with no income, and her mother earns only 3,000 BDT as a housemaid, barely enough to feed their small family of three after losing two sons. Most Jannati Akter was admitted to the hospital on October 3, 2025, with a diagnosis of Peritonsillar Abscess. On the same day, a Tonsillectomy was performed by the attending physician. The procedure was successful, and the patient showed satisfactory recovery. After two days of post-operative observation and care, she was discharged on October 5, 2025, in good health and stable condition. Upon discharge, her parents came to the hospital to receive her. If left untreated, his condition may progress to serious complications such as peritonsillar abscess, obstructive sleep apnea, or chronic infection that can further weaken his health.
