Brayden was born healthy but remained in the hospital for two weeks because the family could not afford the medical bills for discharge after delivery. After they were finally discharged, the child began experiencing intermittent fevers while at home but remained at home without treatment. A community health provider (CHP) learned about the child’s condition and advised the mother to bring him to our facility, informing her about Helpster Charity who would cater for the medical bill. He presented to the hospital with restlessness, hotness of body and refusal to feed.

Brayden was diagnosed with malaria and septicaemia and was attended to promptly by the team,the fevers were on and off but later the prognosis was fair and was now able to breastfeed well and sleep calmly as compared to when he came.He is to see a paeditrician. Brayden was refered to Afrika Inuka hospital in Kisumu for review and was found with umbilical and bilateral ingunal hernia.He was operated on and later brought for dressing and check up at our facility.Currently Liam has recovered from the operation and developed eye problem which the mother has been adviced to see the opthalmologist.Brayden at the moment cannot see things clearly and due to lack of funds the mother has not taken him for any treatment.

Brayden's prognosis is good. After receiving appropriate medical care, the child is now stable, feeding well, calm, and sleeping normally.He was refered for a review by a paeditrician since we were quarring Inguinal Hernia/umbulical hernia.
