Victoria is a creative and imaginative young girl who enjoys listening to music and painting. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming a medical doctor. However, last year, she started having a problem with her eyes. Whenever she's in bright light, her eyes hurt a lot, and she gets throbbing and extremely painful headaches. Victoria went to the government hospital for help, but even after trying various eye drops, her condition didn't get better. The doctors told her that she needed special glasses called photochromatic lenses to protect her eyes from too much sunlight. Unfortunately, her mother hasn't been able to afford these glasses because they cost money.

Victoria underwent a thorough examination which revealed that the back part of her eye, known as the fundus, was normal, showing no signs of abnormalities. She was diagnosed with myopic astigmatism, a condition where the eye's cornea or lens has an irregular shape, causing both nearsightedness and distorted vision. To correct this, she was prescribed lenses that are photochromic, meaning they automatically adjust their darkness in response to the light conditions, providing both vision correction and protection from bright light.

The child should be given spectacle prescription to help her in her vision. The spectacle will help her see objects straight and help reduce light sensitivity. Photochromic lenses, also known as photochromatic lenses, are a type of glasses lens that change colour depending on the amount of UV light they are exposed to. In bright sunlight, these lenses will darken to protect your eyes, but when you go inside or the UV light decreases, they'll turn back to clear, allowing you to see normally.
