Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Sima Akter, a 25-year-old gentle and caring housewife, lives with her husband Roni, their young son Abdullah, and her elderly in-laws in a small home. Her husband works tirelessly as a rickshaw driver, earning only 8,000 taka a month—barely enough to feed the family, leaving nothing for medical expenses. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, Sima suddenly experienced decreased fetal movement and abdominal pain, and an ultrasound revealed severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress, requiring an immediate cesarean section to save the baby’s life. Despite her calm and hopeful nature, the family is deeply worried, as they cannot afford the urgent surgery. Without timely treatment, both Sima and her unborn child face life-threatening complications, leaving the family in fear of losing their most precious hope.

Medical history

After experiencing, less fetal movement for 2 days with mild lower abdominal pain, she arrived at our hospital at 6.0 PM in 03 October 2025 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 06 October 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Outcome

Based on the critical diagnosis, the doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a life-saving intervention for both the mother and baby. The patient's previous history of caesarean section , combined with severe oligohydramnios, indicate that the baby and mother are in immediate danger. If left untreated, the lack of amniotic fluid will likely lead to umbilical cord compression, cutting off the baby's oxygen and nutrient supply and potentially resulting in irreversible brain damage or even stillbirth. Therefore, the doctor's recommendation of an immediate C-section is a crucial, time-sensitive measure to ensure a healthy and safe delivery, providing the best possible outcome for the baby's future.
