Mst. Shapla Khatun, a gentle and hardworking housewife, lives in a small village with her husband, a poor day laborer, and their little child. Despite their struggles to meet daily needs, Shapla holds onto her dream of welcoming a healthy baby into their humble home. Recently, she began experiencing abdominal pain and discharge, and doctors warned that her baby’s breech position, low amniotic fluid, and previous cesarean make her condition extremely risky. The family cannot afford the life-saving surgery (LUCS) her doctors advised, as her husband’s meager income barely covers food and shelter. Without treatment, both Shapla and her unborn child face severe complications or even death, leaving the family devastated and her little child without a mother.

Sumaiya Akter Sumi was admitted to Mother Clinic on October 08, 2025, with breech presentation and underwent a successful cesarean section on the same day under expert medical supervision. She received appropriate post-operative care, including medications, monitoring, and supportive treatment, which ensured a smooth recovery. Both mother and newborn remained stable and healthy throughout the hospital stay without any complications. She was discharged on October 13, 2025, in good condition. The doctor has recommended a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest option for Mst. Shapla Khatun due to the baby’s breech presentation, low amniotic fluid, and her previous cesarean history. This procedure is expected to ensure a safe delivery and prevent complications such as fetal distress or birth injury that could occur during a normal vaginal birth. With timely surgery, both mother and baby have an excellent chance of recovery and good health. However, if left untreated or if vaginal delivery is attempted, there is a high risk of complications, including asphyxia, uterine rupture, or stillbirth. LUCS therefore offers the best and safest outcome for both mother and child.
