Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Sukhi Akter, a 25-year-old housewife, lives with her husband Liton, a day laborer earning only 9,000 Taka a month, and their two young sons, Siam (8) and Mohammad (3), along with her elderly in-laws in a small household. She is a kind and hopeful woman, dreaming of a safe delivery and a healthy baby despite the family’s financial hardship. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, Sukhi suddenly experienced rupture of membranes and reduced fetal movement, and medical tests revealed severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress. Doctors have recommended an emergency Cesarean section to save the baby’s life. Without this urgent surgery, both Sukhi and her unborn child face life-threatening complications, including fetal death or maternal infection, which the family cannot bear emotionally or financially.

Medical history

After experiencing,Spontaneous rupture of membrane & continuous leaking for 02 days & less fetal movement for 01 days, she arrived at our hospital at 2.00 PM in 10 October 2025 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 13 October 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Outcome

Based on the critical diagnosis, the doctor's prognosis is that an immediate cesarean section is a life-saving intervention for both the mother and baby. with severe oligohydramnios, indicate that the baby and mother are in immediate danger. If left untreated, the lack of amniotic fluid will likely lead to umbilical cord compression, cutting off the baby's oxygen and nutrient supply and potentially resulting in irreversible brain damage or even stillbirth. Therefore, the doctor's recommendation of an immediate C-section is a crucial, time-sensitive measure to ensure a healthy and safe delivery, providing the best possible outcome for the baby's future.
