Lima Akther, a 20-year-old kind and cheerful young woman, lives with her husband and family in a small tin house where only four people share a modest life. Her husband, recently unemployed and once earning just 8,000 BDT per month, is struggling to provide even the basics, leaving them unable to afford medical expenses. Now in her first pregnancy, Lima faces a serious complication — premature rupture of membranes (PROM) with oligohydramnios — that requires urgent hospital care. Despite her calm and hopeful nature, the family’s poverty prevents her from getting the treatment she needs. Without timely medical intervention, both Lima and her unborn baby risk infection, preterm birth, or even death, turning a young mother’s dream into tragedy.

Lima Akther, a gynecology patient, was admitted on 17.12.2025 at 38 weeks of pregnancy with pain, complicated by a fetal distress. On 17.12.2025, she successfully underwent a cesarean operation and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and baby remained stable and were discharged on 20.12.2025 with proper advice.
