Nuri Khatun is a fragile 4-day-old newborn whose life has just begun, bringing immense love and hope to her parents and older sibling. Her father, a garments factory worker earning only 10,000 BDT per month, struggles to support the family’s daily needs, while her mother stays home to care for the children in their small rented house. When Nuri suddenly stopped feeding, began vomiting, and developed a swollen abdomen, her parents were terrified to learn she had a life-threatening intestinal volvulus that requires urgent surgery—far beyond what they can afford. Without immediate treatment, the twisted intestines could lose blood supply, leading to infection, organ failure, and even death. Desperate to save their newborn daughter, the family learned about Helpster Charity through Dr. Juwel and ABM Alamgir and reached out with hope for a chance to keep Nuri alive.

Nuri Khatun, a 4-day-old newborn girl, was admitted to USB Specialized Hospital after developing severe symptoms soon after birth, including vomiting, abdominal swelling, and refusal to feed. She was diagnosed with intestinal obstruction due to volvulus, a life-threatening condition requiring urgent surgical intervention. Nuri was immediately stabilized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before undergoing successful abdominal obstruction removal surgery on 22nd October 2025. Following the operation, she remained in the NICU for careful monitoring, infection control, and nutritional support, showing steady improvement. Her parents expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting her treatment and giving their daughter a chance at a healthy future.

The attending pediatric surgical team confirmed that urgent abdominal obstruction removal surgery was required to save Nuri Khatun’s life. Upon admission to USB Specialized Hospital on 18th October, she was immediately placed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for stabilization, monitoring, and preoperative management. After her condition was optimized, the surgery was successfully performed on 22nd October 2025 under expert supervision. Postoperatively, Nuri Khatun continued receiving NICU support for fluid balance, infection control, and nutritional care. According to the medical team, her recovery has been excellent, and with continued follow-up and proper feeding, she is expected to grow normally without long-term complications.
