Rebeka Akter Riya, a calm and responsible 19-year-old, is known in her community for her skill in making traditional deshi pitha and her dream of one day running her own small business. But her family’s fragile tin house and her husband’s meager income of only ৳5,000 a month make it impossible to afford medical treatment. Now, at 37 weeks pregnant, Riya faces a dangerous breech presentation — her baby is positioned feet first, putting both their lives at serious risk if she doesn’t receive urgent care. Her family of six, including her two young siblings and elderly in-laws, depend on her strength and hope. When she learned about Helpster Charity from a leaflet, it gave her a glimmer of hope that she and her unborn child might survive and still dream of a better future.

Rebeka Akter Riya was suffering from severe abdominal pain, low fetal movement, abdominal discomfort, and hardening of the lower abdomen. She was diagnosed with a pregnancy of approximately 37 weeks and 5 days with breech presentation. Due to the high-risk nature of her condition, she was admitted to the hospital on 14.10.2025 for careful monitoring and preparation for delivery. On 15.10.2025, she underwent a successful cesarean section (LSCS) to safely deliver her baby. Following the operation, Riya received attentive medical treatment and nursing care, which helped her recover steadily. With continuous monitoring, proper medication, and supportive care, her condition improved, and she was discharged in good health on 18.10.2025, with both mother and baby stable and well.

The doctor has recommended a Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) under spinal anesthesia as the safest treatment option for Rebeka Akter Riya. If normal vaginal delivery is attempted, the baby may face labor obstruction or intrauterine fetal death (IUFD) due to the abnormal fetal position. Timely surgical intervention through LSCS offers the best chance for a safe delivery, ensuring the survival and health of both mother and baby. Without prompt treatment, both Riya and her baby could face serious and potentially life-threatening complications.
