Shamima Akter, a 21-year-old kind and responsible young woman, is the heart of her family of six living in a refugee camp. Shamima Akter was admitted on 30.09.2025 with per vaginal watery discharge, severe lower abdominal pain, abdominal discomfort, hardening of the lower abdomen, and low fetal movement. She was diagnosed with 39 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy with cephalic presentation and severe oligohydramnios, a condition that posed a serious risk to her baby. Due to the critical nature of her condition, an immediate caesarean section (C/S) was performed successfully. Following the surgery, she received attentive medical care and monitoring to ensure both her and her baby’s well-being. Her recovery was steady, with the abdominal pain and discomfort gradually reducing and the baby remaining stable and healthy. After careful observation and proper post-operative care, Shamima was discharged on 03.10.2025 in a stable condition. Both mother and baby are now doing well, showing good signs of recovery and health.

The doctor has recommended a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) under spinal anesthesia as the safest treatment option for Shamima Akter. If a caesarean section is not performed promptly, there is a high risk of intrauterine fetal death (IUFD) due to lack of oxygen and nourishment. Timely LUCS offers the best chance for a safe delivery, giving both mother and baby a strong chance of survival and recovery.
