Parul Akter, a gynecology patient, was admitted on 23.11.2025 at 36 weeks of pregnancy with lower abdominal pain, complicated by a breech presentation. On 24.11.2025, she successfully underwent a cesarean operation and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and baby remained stable and were discharged on 26.11.2025 with proper advice. The doctor explains that an emergency LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) is the safest option to protect both Parul and her baby, given the signs of PROM and the baby’s dangerously high heart rate. With timely surgery, the baby has a strong chance of surviving and receiving the care needed to grow into a healthy child. The procedure will also prevent life-threatening infections and complications that could endanger Parul’s life. However, if the surgery is delayed or not performed, the baby could suffer severe distress, infection, or even death, and Parul herself could face life-threatening complications such as sepsis or hemorrhage.
