Background

Umar is 13year old boy who have the intention of becoming a soldier to save his country and save his parents he is third born of the family he leave with his parents at klogunna area of jere local government. The patient has a history of oliguria, dysuria, hematuria, and lower back pain for the past 2 years . The pain was managed with painkillers, which provided temporary relief. This morning, the patient presented to the facility with urinary retention and underwent radiological examination, Upon presentation at our hospital and after further evaluation, he was diagnosed with bladder stone.

Medical history

Umar Bashir Umar,a 13-year-old teenager, presented with a history of Oliguria ,dysuria, hematuria accompanied by lower back pain since 2 years. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Cystolithiasis(bladder stone).He underwent successful Cystolithotomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care.He recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Outcome

Doctor's opinion - Bladder stone can cause serious problems of which Umar is currently experiencing severe pains, passing blood in urine with so much pains and reduced urine volume. Prognosis Treatment of Umar's bladder stone will have a positive outcome once surgery is done early in a patient. His treatment will be done with surgery and medications, he will be admitted for the course of the treatment.
