Rimi is a 17-year-old pregnant woman living with her husband and parents, leading a simple life and hoping for a peaceful future with her husband and baby. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, she developed lower abdominal pain and reduced fetal movement, which caused serious concern for her and her family. They first went to a nearby government hospital, but due to a shortage of doctors and lack of emergency surgical services, she could not receive timely care. Rimi had 37 weeks plus pregnancy. suddenly she complaints of lower abdominal pain, breech presentation. She had also complaints of less foetal movement. Patient got admitted to Narayanganj Poly Clinic. As there was less foetal movement and lower abdominal pain was not progressed patient needed emergency cesarean section. Cesarean section was done successfully under spinal anaesthesia and a healthy male baby was delivered. She was admitted on 25/10/2025 and was discharged on 28/10/2025. After operation conservative treatment was given. Now patient is doing well, she is back to her normal life with smiling face. ‎

The doctor’s prognosis is that LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) under SAB (spinal anesthesia) is the safest treatment option for Rimi and her baby given the breech position, reduced fetal movement, and advanced stage of pregnancy. This procedure allows the baby to be delivered safely while minimizing the risk of birth injury or oxygen shortage. With timely surgery, both the mother and baby are expected to recover well and lead healthy lives. If the condition is left untreated or delivery is delayed, the baby may suffer from severe distress, lack of oxygen, or even stillbirth.
