Fatema is a bright 14-year-old student of class six who lives with her parents and sister, helping her mother at home and dreaming of becoming a doctor one day. When she developed high fever, vomiting, weakness, and abdominal pain, her condition quickly worsened into Dengue Shock Syndrome, but her family’s financial hardship made treatment at a tertiary hospital impossible. Despite her parents’ efforts, the cost of emergency care was far beyond their means, leaving the family fearful and helpless. Without urgent treatment, Fatema faced a high risk of severe bleeding, organ failure, and even death. The family turned to Narayanganj Poly Clinic and Helpster Charity as their only hope to save their daughter’s life.

Fatema, a 14 year was suffering from dengue shock syndrome . She required emergency hospitalization due to high fever, abdominal pain, hypotension, cold periphery,vomiting and generalized weakness. Fatema has been given platelets. She was admitted on 21/10/2025 and was discharged on 30/10/2025. Fatema was treated conservatively, and thankfully, she is now doing well and back home with a bright smile. Her family is incredibly happy to have his safe and sound! According to the doctors, prompt and appropriate treatment—including intensive supportive care, adequate hydration, close monitoring, and platelet transfusion—has effectively stabilized Fatema’s Dengue Shock Syndrome and placed her on the path to full recovery. With timely intervention, she is expected to regain her strength, return safely to her normal daily activities and studies, and suffer no long-term health complications. Early management prevents serious outcomes such as severe bleeding, organ failure, shock, and neurological complications like seizures or encephalopathy. However, if treatment were delayed or not provided, her condition could rapidly worsen, leading to irreversible organ damage or death. Therefore, early and proper medical care is critical to safeguarding her life and future.
