Rifat Howlader is a humble and kind 18-year-old madrasa student who lives with his parents and other family members in a small tin-made house in poor condition. His father works as a day laborer and earns about 9,000 BDT per month, which barely covers the daily needs of their five-member family and leaves them unable to afford medical treatment. Rifat has been suffering from repeated severe throat infections for the past two years, and recently his condition became worse with high fever, severe throat pain, and difficulty swallowing. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a leaflet and Helpster volunteer Shahiduzzaman Sohel and came forward seeking help for his treatment. Without proper treatment, the infection may become more serious, causing severe complications with breathing and swallowing, and timely treatment is essential to protect Rifat’s health and potentially save his life.

Rifat Hawlader was admitted to Jhalokathi Model Clinic on 18/11/2025 with adenotonsillitis and underwent a successful surgical procedure on the same day under the supervision of experienced doctors. Following the operation, he was kept under close observation and received regular medical care, medications, and monitoring from doctors and nurses. Over the next three days, his condition gradually improved, and he responded well to the treatment. He was discharged on 20/11/2025 in a stable condition with necessary medications and follow-up advice for full recovery. Rifat’s family expresses their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the hospital team for their kind support and ensuring proper treatment and care.

Doctors have advised adenotonsillectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the infected tonsils and adenoids, as the most effective treatment for Rifat’s condition. After the surgery, the repeated throat infections, pain, and fever are expected to stop, allowing him to eat properly, continue his madrasa studies, and live a healthy daily life. The prognosis after this procedure is very good, and most patients recover fully and experience a significant improvement in their quality of life. However, if the condition is left untreated, the infection may continue to return frequently and may cause severe throat swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, and the spread of infection. In serious cases, these complications can become dangerous and may threaten his overall health, making timely treatment very important and potentially life-saving.
