Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

Roumari, Kurigram

Background

Nargis Akter, a brave 23-year-old mother of two young boys, is now 36 weeks pregnant and facing a high-risk pregnancy due to breech presentation and low amniotic fluid, making a C-section urgently necessary. She lives with her elderly parents in a tiny tin-shade house, where her 60-year-old father—an autorickshaw van driver earning only about 6,000 BDT per month—struggles to support their family of seven, including Nargis, her two children, her brother, and sister-in-law. With no financial support from her husband and no income of her own, Nargis knows her family cannot afford the cost of the life-saving surgery she needs. Despite these hardships, she remains hopeful, determined, and deeply devoted to her children, dreaming of one day becoming independent and providing them with a better future. Without timely treatment, both her life and her unborn baby’s life are at serious risk, a fear that weighs heavily on the entire family as they stand together in love and desperation.

Medical history

Nargis Akter was admitted to the hospital for a planned cesarean section (C-section) at 36 weeks of pregnancy due to multiple complications, including breech presentation, oligohydramnios, anemia, and per vaginal bleeding. These conditions made normal delivery highly risky, as the baby’s feet-first position and low amniotic fluid could cause cord compression, fetal distress, or even life-threatening complications for both mother and child. The surgery was successfully performed under the care of an experienced medical team, resulting in the safe delivery of a healthy baby. Following the operation, Nargis received proper post-operative care, including antibiotics, hydration, and blood support to manage her anemia and promote recovery. Over the next few days, her condition steadily improved, and she began bonding with her newborn with renewed strength and hope. Both mother and baby are now stable and recovering well, with Nargis expressing heartfelt gratitude for the medical care that ensured their safety and gave them a new beginning.

Outcome

Doctors explained that with timely surgical intervention through a Caesarean section, both Nargis and her baby have an excellent chance of recovery and a healthy outcome. The surgery will safely deliver the baby, reducing the risk of complications such as fetal distress, oxygen deprivation, or injury during birth. Without proper treatment, however, the baby could face severe distress in the womb, and both mother and child might be in life-threatening danger. The doctors emphasized that performing the C-section at the right time is crucial to ensuring the survival and well-being of both mother and baby.
