Josna Rani is a hopeful and gentle young woman from a very poor family, living on a monthly income of only 8,000 taka earned by her husband, Sotto Narayon Sarker, a day laborer who also supports his elderly parents, Binoy Chandra Sarker and Songkori Rani, and a student sister, Chondona Rani. With such limited income, the family struggles to cover daily necessities and has no savings to afford costly hospital care or surgery. Despite her hardship, Josna remains positive and dreams of safely welcoming her first child. Her current condition of oligohydramnios, along with reduced fetal movement and pain, places both her life and her unborn baby at serious risk if timely treatment is not provided. Learning about Helpster’s support through Jamuna Clinic staff and contacting Bablu Abdullah (Helpster volunteer) became their only hope for a safe delivery and a healthy future for the family.

Josna Rani was admitted to the hospital on November 07, 2025, with a diagnosis of severe oligohydramnios. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 11, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

The doctor recommends an urgent cesarean section for Josna Rani to prevent life-threatening complications for both her and her baby. With severe oligohydramnios could result in fetal distress, stillbirth, or serious maternal complications such as uterine rupture or placental issues. A timely C-section offers the best chance of delivering a healthy baby and protecting the mother’s life. If the procedure is performed promptly Josna and her child are expected to recover well, with significantly reduced risks of morbidity or mortality. Without this intervention, both mother and baby face a critical situation that could have irreversible consequences.
