Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

Roumari, Kurigram

Background

Shakil Rana, a humble and hopeful 15-year-old boy, lives with his family in a small tin-shade house on borrowed land, where his father struggles to support the household with just 5,000 BDT a month as a day laborer. Despite these hardships, Shakil remains kind-hearted and dreams of going to school and one day lifting his family out of poverty. When he fell critically ill with severe abdominal pain, his family had no savings to afford proper treatment, yet his father rushed him to a clinic out of fear for his son’s life. Doctors discovered that Shakil’s appendix had already burst, and without emergency surgery, he could have faced deadly complications like widespread infection or organ failure. Their financial limitations make medical care nearly impossible, but Shakil’s courage and his family’s love highlight their desperate need for support as he continues to recover.

Medical history

Shakil Rana was terrified when he was rushed to the hospital in severe pain, but after undergoing emergency surgery for his burst appendix, he is now on the path to recovery. The doctors successfully removed the infection and cleaned the accumulated pus from his abdomen. Shakil is feeling much better now—the intense pain has subsided, and he can eat and rest more comfortably. Though still weak, his condition is improving day by day. He feels relieved and grateful to be alive and is hopeful about returning to his normal life soon.

Outcome

The doctors believe that appendicectomy with abdominal toileting is the best and most effective treatment to remove the source of infection and clean out the pus caused by the ruptured appendix. With timely surgery and proper postoperative care, Shakil has a strong chance of making a full recovery and returning to normal life. However, if he remains untreated, the infection inside his abdomen could spread rapidly, leading to dangerous complications such as sepsis, organ failure, or even death. Because his appendix has already burst, immediate treatment is critical to prevent further damage. Proper medical care now is essential to protect Shakil’s life and secure his ability to heal and regain his strength.
